Kimberly Jo Hefferin

Kimberly Jo Gerkin Hefferin, 56 of Grafton, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014, at her residence. She was born in Grafton, March 3, 1958, a daughter of the late James Joseph and Wyoma "Kate" Exline Gerkin.
Kimberly graduated from Grafton High School, Class of 1976. Kim earned her Bachelor of Science at Alderson Broaddus College and graduated with a degree in nursing. She was a traveling nurse for many years. She previously worked at Grafton City Hospital, Mon General Hospital, and UHC Hospital. Kim retired and loved spending time with her family. She loved animals, planting flowers, gardening and working in the yard. She was always willing to help people in the community.
She is survived by two sons, John Patrick Hefferin IV and wife Bee of NC., Joseph Scott Hefferin, Grafton and their father, John Hefferin, NC; two sisters, Tammy June Weaver and husband Steve, Riverside, CA, Janet Jackson, Grafton; two brothers, Chad Joseph Gerkin and wife Amanda, David Scott Gerkin, both of Grafton; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Casey, Chelsea, Camryn, Chaos, Clover, Darren, Devin, and Natalie; two great grandchildren, Aiden and Loralei; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 2-8 PM, Funeral services will conducted at 11:00AM, Friday, August 29, 2014 with Rev. Orville Wright officiating with private interment.
