Thomas Noble Mason

Thomas Noble Mason, 75, of Grafton passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 7, 1942 in Grafton, son of the late Charles Burl and Virginia Fawcett Mason.

Tom graduated from Grafton High School Class of 1960. He earned his degree from WVU and was in the marching band and he was charter member of WVU Alumni Fraternity and member of WVU Alumni Association. He was associated with his dad in the Mason Brothers Coal Business, and sold Christmas Trees, he loved to do income taxes and being with people was his greatest joy. He was a member of the FOP, Moose Club, and the Railroad Heritage Festival. 

He is survived by one daughter, Esther Wilson Ervin and husband David, Morgantown, one son, Scott McGinnis and wife Kelley, Morgantown; two grandsons, Arie Sylas McGinnis and Gordon Liam McGinnis; sister-in-law, Nancy Mason, Grafton; three nieces and nephews, Adam Mason, Melissa Ann Gordon, Patricia Ann Drake; three great nephews, Eli, Isaiah, and Adam.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Lowell Mason.

Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at Bartlett Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11:00am with Pastor Kelly Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Woodsdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers make donations to charity of your choice, in memory of Tom Mason.
