Shirley Jean Moran, 80 of Grafton passed away Tuesday, November21, 2017 with her family by her side at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. She was born June 8, 1937 in Kingmont, WV. daughter of the late Dorsey French and Etta Blanche Linn West. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Moran, Sr. December 8, 2007.
She was a graduate of East Fairmont High School, she worked many years at the Shirt Factory, was a member of the Auxiliaries at Grafton City Hospital, her greatest joy was caring for her many family and friends. and especially her grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by two daughters, Terree Lowe and husband Wayne, Grafton, Tammy Vicaro and husband Louie Fairmont, four grandchildren, Gregory Thorn, Justin Thorn and fiancé Brittney, Matthew Morgan, Brittany Davis and husband Thomas, three great grandchildren, Garrett Davis, Brayton Davis, Emerson Thorn, daughter-in-law, Linda Moran Grafton, brother-in-law, Pete Moran and wife Linda Grafton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Robert E. Moran, Jr., one great granddaughter, Sheyland Thorn, five sisters, Opal Heston, Edythe Shingleton, Bertha Davis, Katherine Heston, Etta Pearl West, seven brothers, Charles West, Eugene West, Russell West, James West, Junior West, Leroy West, RG “Buster” West.
Graveside services will be held Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM. at the West Virginia National Cemetery. with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating.
