Nellie was a very sweet lady. She was like a grandmother to me being I never knew my grandparents. She has watched so many of our children grow up in church. One of the greatest memories I have of grandma Nellie is my working at The Taylor County Senior Center when it was down town by the Capri. My first born daughter Sarah and I stopped in to see mom and grandma Nellie was there, she always wanted to hold Sarah every chance she got and on this particular day it was no different. More recently Sarah and I had been to visit grandma Nellie at the nursing home and she reminisced with us about holding Sarah on that day many years ago at the senior center. She will forever be in our hearts. We love and miss you grandma Nellie.

Nellie was a great lady, every time I would bring my children in the facility she would always give them candy. The boys loved her. I knew she loved her keychain so when my mom went to Canada she brought back a keychain for Nellie. Go rest high on the mountain sweetie, you will be missed by many.

So sorry to hear of Nellie passing. My husband Gene Westerman came to hospital twice a month to have Bible study with Nellie and several others. He thought a lot of her and is very sorry she will not be there when we get back from Florida in April. Prayers for the whole family. She was a wonderful lady.

I met Nellie about six years ago at Wallace Murphy Nursing Facility at Grafton Hospital in a revival service held by Randy Swiger and his sisters. Nellie was a lovely lady that I learned to love and care for very much. We had become close friends over the years and she enjoyed my coming to sing for them twice a month. After Randy became ill and was not able to preach for them, Jean Bailey and I held a worship service at Wallace Murphy for the past three years. Nellie asked me to make a CD for her and all the residents so I asked her to pick out her favorite Hymn and I would make a CD just for her. Her favorite song was " On the Wings Of a Dove" . She loved that song and said she gave her heart to Jesus listening to it. I made the CD (Favorite Hymns of the Church) and gave it to the residents for Christmas in 2012. Nellie told me when she was troubled she would play her CD because she found peace in listening to the songs recorded. I had the honor of praying with Nellie many times and just a few days ago my wife Lynne and I prayed with her and she said she was ready to go home and be with Jesus. What a wonderful peace she had in her heart that day. I love you Nellie and now you are home with Jesus.

Nellie was a wonderful person. She showed always how much she loved her family. Yes you knew when you saw Nellie you would get your picture taken! She always had a smile and she never forgot your birthday or holidays. She remembered her grandchildren's each year and they always received a $2.00 bill. I have heard many say what a sweet lady she is. This is so very true!Rest in peace now Nellie, you are with Mutt and the rest of your loved ones. You will never be forgotten.Karen
