James "Jim" Earl Poling

James "Jim" Earl Poling, 80, of Grafton, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born in Kingwood, August 28, 1933, a son of the late Dayton I. and Ivy M. Poling. His wife, Willa Louise Perrone Poling, preceded him in death in 1989.
He worked for the City Of Grafton for over 21 years. He loved farming and enjoyed working on tractors and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his loving family members; David and wife Sandy, Grafton, Charles and wife Darlene, Thornton, John and wife Betty, Belington, Rick and wife Jane, Grafton, Barbara and husband Bill Shingleton, Knottsville, Lewis and wife Ann, Flemington, Roy and wife Tammy, Grafton, Mike and wife Sandy, Philippi , Alice and husband Paul R. Pyles, Jr., Grafton, Kathy and husband Mark Weaver, Philippi, and Billy and wife Nancy, Grafton, twenty-five grandchildren, thirteen step grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, twenty-eight step grandchildren, and one step great grandchild; two sisters, Ruby Gray, Ohio, and Alberta Wilfong, Fairmont and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, one great grandchild, one step great grandchild and several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Monday, August 4, 2014 from 2-8 PM, Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM, Tuesday, August 5, 2014 with Rev. Jimmy Johnson. Interment will follow at Woodsdale Memorial Park.
