What a sad day for those that loved Dona Powell. Met her and her husband Cecil when they lived in Maryland and worked at the nursing home. Was always a good day when we would go see them with their daughter Linda. Dona loved to cook and was the greatest at whipping a meal together. You could always eat off her floor, I think she must have deep cleaned her house twice a day. Never ran out of energy. Was a true Southern lady. Soft spoken, great cook and entertainer, loved her garden and getting outside, She was a great spoiler of the animals around her and know how bad they will miss her. May God wrap His comfort blanket around Dona's family and give them peace. Until we meet in Heaven. With Sympathy, Bradley and Joanne Harrelson

Aunt Dona was a special aunt perhaps because I was born in her home nearly 67 years ago in Lucretia. She seemed to always have a smile and willing to listen when anyone wanted to talk. I will definitely miss her. I send my love and prayers to all of the family.Love, Nellie

So sorry to hear about Dona's passing. Met her and Cecil through their daughter Linda when they lived in Maryland. Was always a good day when you went to their house. One of the best cooks and could whip up a meal in just a blink of an eye. After she moved to Phoenix she would share her loaves of bread and they were so yummy. She will be missed by all that knew her. Soft spoken, Southern lady.loved her gardening, her family and we will meet her in Heaven one day soon.
