Denzil Allen Stevens, 85, of Thornton, passed away, Friday, April 17, 2015 at the home of his son's residence with his family by his side. He was born in Grafton August 11, 1929, a son of the late Milton George and Verla Grace Phillips Stevens.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved riding his motor cycle. Denzil enjoyed spending time with his family and was a member of the Blueville Church of Christ. Denzil was a truck driver for many years and last drove for Mylan.
He is survived by his children, Debbie Mick and husband Dennis, Grafton, Douglas Stevens and wife Linda, Thornton, Teresa Fast and husband Rod, and Dale Stevens and wife Sheiah both of Grafton; Nine grandchildren: Cindy Pyles, Sherry Mick, Joseph Stevens, Dr. Thomas Stevens, Shawn Rubenstein, Todd Rubenstein, Mandy Stevens, Jennifer Jackson, Zachary Stevens; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Etta Rockhold, Grafton and Flora Grob, Wilson Ridge; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lester Stevens, Albert Stevens and William Stevens; and one sister, Sarah Cline.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave, on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 4-9PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Bartlett Funeral Home with Minister Will Alshire officiating. Interment will follow at Woodsdale Memorial Park.
