Charlotte May Moats

Charlotte May Moats, age 69 of Grafton, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Grafton City Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Grafton, July 30, 1947, a daughter of the late John Brooks Jeffries and Bondeline Elosie Tatterson Jeffries. She is survived by her husband Charles Eugene Moats. They were united in marriage July 13, 1968.
Charlotte was a faithful secretary for the First Baptist Church for nineteen years retiring in 1999, where she was on the kitchen committee and whatever needed done. She graduated from G.H.S. Class of 1968. She previously worked at Baby World, and McCroys and last at Walmart.
In addition to her husband, Charlotte is survived by one son, Charles Eugene Moats ll, and wife Tonya Erenrich Moats, Grafton; three grandchildren, Steven Moats, with the US Marines in California, Courtni Workman and husband Michael, Canonsburg, PA, and Caitlin Moats, Grafton; one brother, John William Jeffries and wife Kathleen, Middleville Community, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, JoAnn Norman; one brother, Charles L. "Butch" Jeffries.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 3-8PM at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, and Thursday, November 17, 2016 9-12:00 Noon. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Orville Wright and Rev. Charles Jeffries officiating.
