Charles Marshall Paige, age 62, of Morgantown, formerly of Grafton, passed away, Wednesday, April 09, 2014, at his residence. He was born August 20, 1951 in Grafton, WV, a son of the late James C. Paige and Elizabeth J. (Marshall) Paige. His wife, Kathleen Ann Paige, preceded him in death July 5, 2010. They were united in marriage April 16, 1972.
Charles was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1969, he had an Associates Degree in Business. He was a Vietnam veteran having served in the US Navy. He was employed at Spectrum Financial as a service technician. He enjoyed spending time with his family and adored his only granddaughter, she was the light of his life. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd and was involved in the establishing and building the church, and also formerly served as custodian at the church. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and watching westerns. He also enjoyed playing pool and darts with his friends at Jerry's Restaurant and Lounge.
Surviving are: one son, Corey Marshall Paige, of Morgantown, WV; one daughter, Kylie A. Cantrell and husband Samuel, of Bridgeport, WV; one granddaughter, Kathleen Annmarie Cantrell; two brothers, James C. Paige II and wife Janet, of FL, and Joseph C. Paige and wife Cheryl, of NC; three sisters, Libby Jean Auvil and husband Blaine of Parkersburg, WV, Kathryn Raschella, of Grafton, and Janet Collins and husband Larry, of Grafton; numerous nieces and nephews; special family friends, Tony and Tina Ha, of Morgantown; a sister-in-law, Donna Clark, of MD; and a granddog Cooper.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Sunday from 2-6 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 14, 2014, at the funeral home, with Rev. Bert Coffman officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral services.
Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post #3081, American Legion Taylor County Post#12, Central WV DAV Chapter 24 and their auxiliaries, and the WV Army National Guard of Camp Dawson.
