Zachary Lee Henderson

Zachary Lee Henderson, age 33, went to his heavenly home on Thursday April 30, 2026 after he fiercely battled against Stage 4 cancer. He was born on June 6, 1992 in Clarksburg, WV to his devoted mother, Joyce E. Henderson (Boylen). On August 26, 2020 he married his soulmate, Bethany M. Henderson (Rosser) at the beach.

Zack graduated from Grafton High School in 2010 where he was a member of the Marching Band. Prior to his diagnosis, he worked as a supervisor at Sheetz in various locations around West Virginia. He was known for his loyalty, patience, and kind demeanor, even in the hardest moments. He was often referred to as “the tallest Hobbit you’ll ever meet”. His hobbies included building LEGOs, playing video games, playing Dungeons & Dragons, watching Star Wars, reading books, listening to music- especially Weird Al and the Beatles- and attending Comic Con, Renaissance Fairs, and concerts. He loved spending time with his many close friends.

In addition to his strong mother and his supportive wife, he is survived by his two protective sisters: Mindi Miller, and husband Josh and Megan, and husband Cody and several cherished nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his jovial cousin, Heather Laux, who share many wonderful memories of hanging out together at their Nanny & Pap's house.

 He shared many special fur babies with his wife Bethany: Sunny, Lazslo, Malcom, Smaug.

Zack was preceded in death by beloved son, Salem Hayden Henderson. Salem greeted him and welcomed him to Heaven along with his Nanny, Pap, Uncle Randy, Aunt Debbie, and Uncle (Gary). Tolkien, his rescue cat also preceded him in death.

The family would like to share their sincerest thanks to his medical team including Dr. Charles Frank and the Oncology staff at Mon General Hospital. The family would also like to thank each person who supported Zack and his family during this journey with an extra thank you to Eli Ross.

A Celebration of Life will be held for his closest friends and family that he had throughout his life at Bartlett Funeral Home on Friday May 15, 2026 from 2-5PM.
