Wanda Gale (Corder) Sanders

Wanda Gale Sanders, 81 of Clarksburg, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021 at her residence with family by her side. She was born January 15, 1940 in Junior, a daughter of the late James B. and Claribel Skidmore Corder.

Wanda worked many years in Elyria, OH as a Nurse’s Aide at Palm Crest East and Cleveland Clinic. Wanda was Baptist by faith, and she enjoyed, thrift shopping, playing bingo, eating dinner out, and working in the flowers and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and making memories with each of them.

Wanda is survived by one daughter, Tina Louise Thorpe Krugman, Clarksburg; one son, Lewis E Thorpe Jr, Avon Lake, OH; three grandchildren, Eric R Krugman, Cam C Thorpe, and Lindsey R Krugman; two great grandsons, Eric R Krugman and Anthony R Krugman; long term companion, Jerry Palmer, Clarksburg; one sister, June Wolverton and Jack, Grafton; two brothers, James “Jimmy” Corder, Fairmont, Wayne Dale “Pete” Corder and Jeanette, Galloway; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Corder, Galloway and Shirley Corder, Philippi; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by first husband, Lewis Thorpe, second husband, Everette A Sanders; two sisters, Joan Tait and Sonny, Juanita Hannigan; two brothers, Glen “Bud” Corder and Richard “Dick” Corder; sister-in-law, Dorothy Corder.

Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 11:00AM until time of Funeral service at 1:00PM with Pastor Patty Post officiating.
