Wade Michael Conner

Wade Michael Conner, 26, of Knottsville was stolen from his parents, his brother, family and many many friends who loved and cherished him every second of his life on December 9, 2021. Wade was born December 1, 1995 in Morgantown, son of Michael “Micky” Timothy and Cassandra “Cassie” Kae Duckworth Conner.

He left behind his parents, Cassie and Micky of Knottsville, a wonderful brother Kolt Conner of Knottsville. He also left behind the love of his life and future wife, Sydney McGinnis, who he loved with no limit and his fur babies Max and Koda.

Wade’s love for his friends and family knew no limits. He would help anyone with anything however he could. This was shown by the amount of very special friends that he had. Wade bonded with every person he met. If Wade was your friend – he was a true friend that would protect and love you. During his time at Alderson Broaddus he made so many friends especially around the pool table. He considered himself “social director” of the student center. He touched many lives and loved every minute, every second.

Anyone who knew Wade knew his love for the New England Patriots. He loved anything and everything Patriotic, red white and blue. We are asking in tribute to our loud, boisterous, loving, Patriots fan that if you could please wear these colors to the services to honor him and the family would love this.

Fitting this man into a few paragraphs feels impossible. He was a lot more than any number of words could ever hope to describe. More patient and caring than he would give himself credit for.

Wade graduated as an honor graduate from Grafton High School in 2014. He was a very proud member of the FFA and Grafton Bearcats Football. He also graduated from Alderson Broddus University in 2019 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Bachelors degree in Business Administration. He was a proud member of the Sigma Delta Nu Fraternity.

Wade is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Betty and Tim Conner of Knottsville; aunt and uncle, Karla and Craig Woods of Morgantown; cousins, Hunter Woods and fiancé Kaitlin Lorenze of Morgantown, Conor and Hunter Vohwinkle of Morgantown; great aunt, Bobbie Ann Murray of Grafton; maternal grandmother, Karen Duckworth, Grafton, maternal grandfather, Richard Pumphrey, Buckhannon, aunt and uncle, Shannon and Aaron Joyce, great aunt and uncle, Debbie and Roy Young; great uncle David Carpenter; cousins, Tiffany Hinchman, Buckhannon Adrain Joyce of Grafton; many other great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Wade is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Ralph and Betty Murray of Grafton, Charles and Georgie McDaniels of Grafton, Richard and Mildred Pumphrey of Buckhannon, Stephen and Nora Bonner of Knottsville; a special great aunt, Glenna “Sis” Carpenter; a special great uncle, Johnny Bill Murray who thought of Wade as his “Whipper Snapper”

 Family and friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, Grafton on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and December 18, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM the hour of the funeral with Rev Tom Horne officiating. Wade will be brought home and buried in the family Cemetery.
