Velma Marie Gray, 73 of Grafton, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born March 18, 1947 in Kasson the daughter of the late Carl J. and Corrine Overfield Boyles. Velma was preceded in death by her husband Russell DAYNE Gray, May 22, 2020. They were married February 11, 1966
Velma was employed at Grafton Wal-Mart, in the Deli Dept. She had worked many years at Foodland where she was known as the donut lady. Velma had a contagious smile and always found the best in others. She loved her garden, greenhouse and chickens. She was an avid country music and QVC fan. Velma was a loving, thoughtful, caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by three children, Cheryl Weaver and husband Bobby, Grafton, Russell Gray, II of Grafton, Tina Gray, of Huntington; two special grandchildren, Skylar Dayne Rucker and girlfriend, Siera Gabbert, Ben Rucker and wife Devin both of Grafton; Five sisters, Ruth Nicholas, Warren, OH, Lucy Dempsey, Cortland, OH, Martha Poling, Grafton, Linda Colebank, Tunnelton, Diane Jones, West Farmington, OH; one brother, Bill Boyles, Hamilton, OH. Two sisters-in-law, Lenora Jean Tacy and Linda Markley both of Grafton, one brother-in-law, Michael Gray, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Velma was preceded in death by one sister, Delia Boyles; two brothers, Harold Boyles and Kenneth Boyles.

Family and friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from 2:00PM to 8:00PM with proper distancing and face mask preferred. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2020 with Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodsdale Memorial Park
