Toleta Dove (Reed) Summerfield

Toleta Dove Summerfield, 83 of St. Clairsville, OH, formerly of Grafton, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at her daughter’s home Shelly Moore in St. Clairsville, OH, She was born in Philippi, May 16, 1937, and is the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Clarindia Mitchell Reed. She was preceded in death by her husband Mordecai Summerfield, on May 11,1988.

She enjoyed to garden from the planting to the weeding, she liked to cook and can her harvest. Toleta loved to make quilts and to go on vacations and trips. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Toleta is survived by four children, Beatrice Hickman and husband George, Grafton, Tina Colebank, Grafton, Anna Freeze, Grafton and Shelley Moore and husband Skip, St. Clairsville, OH, seven grandchildren, Seth, Lakota, Heather, Kelly, Sara, Dorsey, and Stacey, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandson , three sisters, Mary Ann Boyles, Wanneta Sue “Peggy” Stevens, Edna M. Robinson,   three brothers, Robert Junior “Sam” Reed, James Curtis Reed, Louis Richard Reed,

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded death by one  sister, Loretta Jean Reed, four brothers, William Elwood Reed, Alva Lee Reed, Holly Brown Reed, Kenneth Eugene Reed, David Lynn Reed.

Family and friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Friday, July 3, 2020 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM with proper distancing and face mask required. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 1:00PM with Rev Jimmy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodsdale Memorial Park.
