Thomas “Tom” Ray Coffman, 78 of Grafton, WV passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. He was born in Philippi, WV on February 16, 1946, son of the late Willis Ray and Rosalie Gwendolyn Gainer Coffman.
Tom was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1964. He served in the US Army Reserves from 1966-1972 and attended Fairmont State College. He also graduated from Welding Trade School, and did a four-year Electrician Apprentice in Florida. He loved cars, WVU sports, drag racing, demolition derbys, fishing, hunting, and feeding his pet deer by hand.
Tom is survived by a daughter, Carlee Beth Swisher Reighard and husband Daniel, Tall Timbers, MD; grandchildren, Cami Beth Stemple Karley Michele Reighard, Jason Daniel Reighard, Kolt Aidan McIe, and Leilah Rose McIe; siblings, Keith Alan Coffman and wife Debra, John Victor Coffman and wife Katereni, Myrtle Beach, SC, Sherry Lee Coffman Thompson and husband Danny Lee; companion, Betty Kay Phillips and her children, Jennifer Goodman and husband James and their children, Nina, Ashley, and Madaline, Russell Phillips and wife Amy and their children, Brooke and Colton; his first wife, Dora Lynn Thorp Alderson; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Anne Cochran Coffman; and daughter, Andrea Lyn Coffman.
