Thelma Marie (Harvey) Findley

Thelma Marie Findley, 72 of Grafton, WV, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.  She was born September 1, 1953 in Fairmont, WV, daughter of the late Kenneth McAfee and Bertha Marie Harvey Clevenger, and step-father, Ralph Clevenger. And survived by her husband, Thomas Ray Findley.

Thelma, a proud graduate of Grafton High School’s Class of 1971, lived a life rooted in quiet strength and deep compassion. She devoted herself to caring for others as a private caregiver, offering not just her time, but her heart to those who needed it most.

She found comfort in the simple, beautiful moments—losing herself in the pages of a good book, especially the Bible, which she held close to her soul. Music and movies brought her joy, particularly the timeless charm of Elvis—his voice, his presence, his magic never failed to make her smile. On many days, you could find her wrapped in the warmth of a Hallmark movie, sometimes one after another, embracing the love and hope they brought.

But above all else, Thelma’s greatest love was her family. They were her world, her purpose, and her deepest joy. Everything she did, every ounce of love she gave, was a reflection of the devotion she carried in her heart for them.

In addition to her husband, Thelma is survived by three children, Shawn Ray Nestor, Crystal Dawn Grize (Kari), and Tiffany Marie Findley; five grandchildren, Kiara, Evan, Jayden, Kagen and Arthur; one brother, Ralph Paul Clevenger.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded by one brother, Roger Harvey.
