Susie Ekis-Mewshaw

Susie Ekis Mewshaw, 73 of South Holland, Illinois (formerly of Grafton) passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024 at her home. She was born June 9, 1951 in Philippi, daughter of the late Andrew and Mabel Skidmore Ekis.

Susie was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1969. She was a bartender by trade and worked at many places making great friends everywhere she worked. Susie was a person who enjoyed traveling and being with people.

Susie is survived by one son, Karl Mewshaw of South Holland, Illinois; one brother James Ekis; two nieces, Kari Ekis Croston (Gary) and Jaime Ekis.

In addition to her parents, Susie is preceded in death by one brother,Robert P. Ekis.

In honor of Susie's wishes she was cremated. Inurnment will be at the Central Chapel Cemetery, in Nestorville, West Virginia. Online condolences can be sent to the family at
