Sue Carol (Moore) Dean

Sue Carol Dean, 87 of Grafton, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Rosewood Nursing Home, Grafton, with her loving family by her side. She was born March 28, 1937, in Grafton, daughter of the late Herbert Ephron and Thelma Ethel Stone Moore. Sue was preceded by her husband John James Dean, February 27, 1991.

Sue worked at Grafton Apparel Manufacturing Company (Shirt Factory) working the floor for many years. Her hobbies were playing bingo, sitting on the porch watching birds and her quiet time. Canning was something she enjoyed and shared it with her family and friends. Sue was a person that liked going out and about and being with people. She loved her family and the times she spent with each of them making memories. 

Sue is survived by two sons, John Dean and James Dean; four sisters, Patricia “Patty” Snyder (Bob), Sylvia Totten, Becky Rosier, Brenda Cleavenger (Roger), three brothers, Donald Roy Moore (Chris), Ronald “Roy” Moore (Donna), and Paul L. Moore (Alesha); five grandchildren, Jeromy, Sabrina (Cary), Amanda (Daniel), Tammy (Omar), and Danielle (Aaron); several great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren;  numerous nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by two daughters, Leanna McVicker, and Diane Poling; one granddaughter, Heather Poling; three sisters, Freda Kelley, Nancy Larew, and Vickie Isner; one brother, Herbert “Bud” Moore.

A special thank you to Rosewood Nursing Center for all their care and kindness shown to Sue during the time she resided there.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, WV, on Friday June 14, 2024 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Garry Whitescarver officiating.
