Shirley Ann (Marsh) Newlon

Shirley Ann Newlon, 86 of Bridgeport passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, February 5, 2025. She was born February 16, 1938 in Buckhannon, daughter of the late Earl and Hazel Marsh. Shirley is survived by her husband Thomas H. Newlon, they were married for more than forty-four.

Shirley graduated from Buckhannon High School. She was a homemaker who was dedicated to caring for her family and home. Shirley enjoyed working in her garden, and flowers. She loved people and never knew a stranger. She had a smile she shared with everyone. Shirley loved her family and all the times spent with them especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Shirley is survived by four sons, Mike Wininger (Beth), William E. Wininger Jr, (Diane), John G. Wininger, and Robert “Steve” Wininger (Ellen); one daughter, Melissa A. Taylor (Danny); several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by one son, Thomas Harold.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 5:00PM to 5:30PM the time of the funeral with Pastor Mark Miller officiating. Private inurnment will be held at the West Virginia National Cemetery.
