Sandra "Sandy" Lee (Peters) Thorn

Sandra Lee Thorn 79, of Bridgeport went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 8, 2022. She was born February 18, 1943 in Chambersburg Pa., daughter of the late Ralph Eugene and Violet Irene Stains Peters. She was the wife of William B. Thorn, they were married September 8, 1962 spending sixty wonderful years together.

Sandy enjoyed collecting angels, traveling, camping, watching and feeding the birds and decorating her home especially for the holidays. Sandy enjoyed her special cat Precious. She loved the time she spent with her family and spoiling her granddaughter and great granddaughter.

In addition to her husband Sandy is survived by two daughters, Laura Lee Weaver (Larry), Bridgeport, Lisa Marie Braham, Independence, granddaughter Kelly Marie Myers (Tim),Grafton, great granddaughter Braelynn Brooke Jones, Grafton, brother, Dennis Peters (Carol), Grafton, two sisters, Donna Poling (Mike), Grafton, and Theresa Swisher (Chuck), Grafton, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Sandy is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kylee Brooke Braham, two brothers, Harold Peters and Gary Peters, two sisters, Shirley Johnson and Nancy Pinnell.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 10:00AM until 11:00 AM the hour of the funeral with Father Babu Joseph officiating. Interment will follow at the Haymond Cemetery.
