Samuel Franklin Woods

Samuel Franklin Woods, 78 of Grafton passed away at Mon General Hospital, Morgantown, on Thursday, January 25, 2024 surrounded by his family, He was born January 30, 1945 in Harrison County, son of the late Mart Fern and Arthela Mae Sandie Woods.

Sam was a skilled mechanic for much of his life. He spent his last several years as a driver for the Bulletin Board. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.

Sam is survived by four children, Katrina Baker (James) Grafton, Samuel A. Woods, Madison, OH, Cindy Keiki (James) Grafton, Esther Rybak, Ketchum, ID, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; one brother, Al “Bud” Woods, Panama City, FL; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Samuel was preceded in death by two sisters, Joann Bennett and Anna Louise Sheppard; and one brother in infancy, Donald Woods.
