Ruth Mae (Dodd) Boyles

Ruth Mae Boyles, 80, of Grafton passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at UMPC McGee Women’s Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born January 6, 1941 in Metz, WV, daughter of the late Dolly Louise Dodd. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, James Junior Boyles on October 26, 2011.

Ruth graduated from Mannington High School. She retired as the bookkeeper for the Carpenter’s District Council of Bridgeport. She loved to go horseback riding, hunting, fishing, gardening and loved to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Ruth is survived by one daughter, Robin Mayle Bess (Jeremy) Charleston; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Ryan, Jesse, Justin, and Ashley; nine great grandchildren, Michael Grace, Reese, Brynna, Lane, Adle, Smith, Cameron, Caden, and Ireland; one brother, Guy Dodd (Darlene) Thornton; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother and husband, Ruth was preceded death by one daughter, Judy Kay Armstrong; two sons-in-law, Timmy Mayle and Dwight Armstrong.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 30, 2021 from 3-8PM at Bartlett Funeral Home, Grafton and Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 11:00AM with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery.
