Roy Lee Poling, Sr.

Roy Lee Poling, Sr. 60 of Thornton, passed away on Monday December 20, 2021 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Lewis County, December 11, 1961, a son of the late James Earl and Willa Louise Perrone Poling. He was married to Tammy Lorraine Simmons Poling on April 10, 1985

Roy liked the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed watching wresting and demolition derbies. He loved the time he spent with his friends and family. He especially enjoyed the time making memories with his grandchildren and considered his family his greatest joy.

Roy is survived by five children, Jennifer Skiles (Greg), Jessica Boyce, Mary Poling, Roy Lee Poling, Jr. (Lacey), Sarah Poling (James), twelve grandchildren, Isaac, Cory, Stephanie, Shawn, Austin, Levi, Carson, Brayden, Molly, Kolt, Leiah and Maddy, seven brothers, Dave Poling, Charlie Poling, Mike Poling, John Poling, Rick Poling, Lewis Poling, Farley Snyder, three sisters, Barbara Shingleton, Alice Pyles, and Kathy Weaver, adopted mother Janet Bolyard.

In addition to his parents, Roy is preceded in death by a brother, William Joseph Poling.
