Rose Marie Waters

Rose Marie Waters, 84 of Grafton, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Rosewood Nursing Home. She was born July 30, 1936 in Grafton, daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret E. Drennan Lander. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert R. “Dick” Waters, June 9, 2001.

She was a graduate of Grafton High School Class of 1954, cashier at the Thorofare grocery store and the Phar-More Pharmacy. She was a faithful member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church, and a member of the Women’s Guild. Rose Marie was a strong woman who lived by her faith. She never knew a stranger and loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

Rose Marie is survived by two sons, Richard R. Waters and James R. Waters and fiance’ Kimberly Wood both of Grafton, four grandchildren, Damon Waters and wife Allison,  Devon Waters, Drew Waters, Brandon Waters, one great granddaughter, Hallie Rose Waters, one sister, Evelyn Marshall, Dallas, TX, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Brittney N. Waters, two sisters, Delores Spence, Wilma Shaw and her special four legged friend Champ.

Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from2:00PM to 8:00PM. with a  prayer Vigil Service  conducted at 7:00PM Thursday at the funeral home,  with proper distancing and face mask preferred, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM Friday, September 4, 2020 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Binu Sebastian officiated.
