Ronald Eugene Allen, 76 of Thornton, WV, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024 at Grafton City Hospital. He was born in Yakima, WA, September 18, 1947 Ronald is survived by his wife Cindy Phillips Allen, they were married July 1, 1981 spending more than forty-two wonderful years together.
Ronald was a proud Vietnam veteran of the US Army. He worked many years a Supervisor at the bus garage in Saco MT, drove log trucks for Manke CO, in Shelton, WA for many years. Ronald was a real outdoorsman who liked baseball, hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He loved to be home and treasured the time he spent with his family. Ronald was a strong Christian man who believed in the Lord, read his Bible and prayed with his family.
Ronald is survived by three children, Robert “Bob” Keyzers (Amber), Jessica Allen, and Timothy Allen (Alexis); six wonderful and special grandchildren; Skylie Lefdahl, Ivan Lefdahl, Tripp Lefdahl, Ezra Keyzers, Davin Allen, and Sutter Allen; one sister, Debbie Allen; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by two brothers, Eldon Allen, and Timothy Allen.
A military graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday August 23, 2024 at the West Virginia National Cemetery with Chaplain Randy Jennings officiating. Full military honors accorded by the Taylor County Honor Guard and U.S. Army Honor Guard.
