Rocky Mayle Obituary

Rocky Ray Mayle, 52, of Grafton, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Grafton City Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on November 20, 1972, in Fairmont, he was the son of Janice “Jan” Cathell Mayle of Grafton and the late Danny Lee Mayle, Sr.

On June 14, 2014, Rocky married the love of his life, Brooke Mayle, and together they built a life filled with laughter, hard work, and devotion.

A 1991 graduate of the Christian School in Clarksburg, Rocky worked as a driver for Z-Force Transportation in Morgantown. Known for his kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need, Rocky lived his life with generosity and quiet strength. He found true joy in the simple things—working on the farm, caring for the cows, maintaining tractors and equipment, and cutting hay. Whether he was hunting, fishing, boating, or just sitting on the porch soaking in the stillness of the day, Rocky cherished the beauty of life’s peaceful moments.

Above all, Rocky treasured time with his family and friends. His love for them was the foundation of his life, and he leaves behind countless memories of laughter, stories, and togetherness that will be carried in their hearts forever.

In addition to his mother and wife, Rocky is survived by his two beloved daughters, Briana Mayle and Hannah Mayle (Brady); his brothers, Danny L. “Junie” Mayle, Jr. (Beth Ann) and Timothy S. “Tuke” Mayle (Jody); nieces and nephews, Kaleb, Elianna, Noah, Alex, Zayne, Madison, and Emma “Giggles” his mother-in-law, Dana Mayle; father-in-law, Timothy Ware; brother-in-law, Chad Mayle (Della); sister-in-law, Alicia Flynn; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Along with his father, Rocky was preceded in death by his infant daughter and his twin brother, Ronnie Mayle.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 3:00PM until 7:00PM, and again on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 9:00AM until the funeral hour at 11:00AM with Pastor Mark Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Knottsville Cemetery.
