Robert Bernell Lough

Robert Bernell Lough, 95 of Grafton passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Fairview, WV, August 16, 1924, and the son of the late Thomas Samuel and Ellen Marie Brewer Lough. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Ellen Fox Lough January 26, 2015.

Robert graduated from Fairview High School in 1941. He was a Veteran of the US Army/Air Force in Iceland from 1943-1946. He graduated from WVU in 1951 with a Degree in Agriculture. He worked at Fairmont Foods for fifteen years and then for the US Dept. of Agriculture for eighteen years for the Soil Conservation Service. 

Robert is survived by one granddaughter, Ashley Lamphere, Essex Junction, VT, one great granddaughter,  Aniyal Lamphere, two sisters, Rose Harris, Waynesburg, PA, Edna Toothman, Fairview; two brothers,  Jesse Lough and wife Phyllis, FL, Eugene Lough and wife Lou, Rivesville.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Lough Murray; four brothers, LeRoy Lough, Virgil Lough, Delmar Lough and Harold Lough; two sisters, Pauline Lough, and Lois Lough.

Graveside services for Robert B. Lough will be held at the WV National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiating. Online condolences can be made to www.bartlettfuneralhomewv.com Bartlett Funeral Home is honored to serve the Lough family.
