Robert Lee Gawthrop

Robert Lee Gawthrop “Farmer Bob”, 89 of Grafton, WV passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the Taylor Healthcare Center in Grafton, WV with his family by his side.  He was born in Grafton, WV on October 19, 1934, son of the late Garland and Susie (Hustead) Gawthrop.

Bob loved to farm. He served six years in the U.S. Army reserves.  He worked 38 years with Westinghouse/North American/Phillips Lighting in Fairmont, WV. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Grafton, WV

Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was married to his wife Camilla (Tucker) Gawthrop for 68 years.
Robert is survived by his wife Camilla, sons Randy Lee Gawthrop (Lisa), Bowling Green, KY and Rodney Alan Gawthrop (Marci), Grafton, WV. Grandsons Jay Gawthrop, Grafton, WV, Aaron Gawthrop (Kim), Charleston, WV and Cody Gawthrop, Grafton, WV. Great grandchildren Lane and Levi Gawthrop, Grafton, WV.
Robert is proceeded in death by his parents and sisters Eva Currey, Alice Jean McVicker and Joan Hardesty.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, WV, on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM and on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 9:00AM until the 11:00AM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Austin Lynch officiating.
