Rita Ella Runner

Rita Ella Runner 66, of Grafton passed away at Grafton City Hospital on Thursday March 30, 2023. She was born in Rowlesburg on May 5, 1956, daughter of the late William and Gladys Runner.

Rita was a homemaker and loved to cook, clean house, plant and work in the garden. She spent many hours talking with her family and friends on the phone. Rita loved all the time she spent with her family making special memories especially with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by each of them and all who knew her.

Rita is survived by three children, Charles Courtney and wife Crystal, Morgantown, Jennifer Hose and husband Kenneth, Grafton,  Mary Reed, and husband Phillip, Grafton, grandchildren, Jacob, Timothy and Lealah, Oliver, David, Steven, Tammy, Harper, Mary, and Anthony, two brothers, Frank Runner and wife Pat of Thornton, Freeman ”Joe” Runner of Bridgeport, many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents Rita is preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Runner, and Barbara Runner and one brother Francis Runner.
