Richard "Mike" Michael Moyer

Richard “Mike” Michael Moyer, 75 of Grafton passed away at his home with his loving family by his side, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. He was born in Grafton, April 9, 1949, son of the late Bernard Lee and Pauline Robison Moyer, Mike is survived by his wife Debra Darlene Knotts Moyer whom he married June 30,1973 spending over fifty-one years together.

Mike graduated from Grafton High School, Class of 1970. He worked for the Taylor County Schools as a bus driver for over thirty -three years. Mike was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Grafton. He volunteered his time to help with the food pantry and drove the bus to pick up parishioners when a ride was needed to attend church. Mike really enjoyed being with people and never met a stranger. He was always tinkering around the house working on things. Mike loved his family and the time spent with each of the them making precious memories.

Mike is survived by two sons, Matthew Shane Moyer, Jarod Kyle Moyer; sister in-law, Joyce Moyer; several many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard Moyer, Johnny Moyer; and his mother and father in-law, Gene and Mary “Tippy” Fitzwater Knotts McProuty.

The family would like to thank WVU Hospice for the exceptional care they gave Mike.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM and Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 9:00AM until 11:00AM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Ken Heiney and Pastor Orville Wright officiating.
