Rebecca Jean (Fairley) McElroy

Rebecca Jean McElroy, 60 of Morgantown formerly of Grafton passed away, Sunday, June 18, 2023 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born April 18, 1963 in Grafton, daughter of the late Howard and Carolyn Nicola Fairley. Rebecca is survived by her husband, Scott McElroy whom she married October 15, 2005 spending more than seventeen wonderful years together.

Rebecca graduated from Grafton High School, Class of 1981. She was the Assistant Administrator for Metro Property, Morgantown. Rebecca was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved life and her world was her family and especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Rebecca is survived by three children, Renee Eddy(Brian), Katy McElroy, Jennifer Frederick (Corey); five grandchildren, Austin, Isabella, Jacob, Caleb, and Reagan; four brothers, Jim Fairley (Matraca), Jeff Fairley (Eun Ju), Steven Fairley (Sarah), and Chris Fairley (Kim); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Donna Watt McElroy; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by one daughter, Megan Powell.

Friends and family will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 10:00AM until the hour of the funeral at 1:00PM with Pastor Tim Shuttlesworth officiating.
