Peggy "Peachie" Jo (Bartlett) Jones

Peggy Jo “Peachie” Bartlett Jones, 85 of Philippi, Union Community, passed away, Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Grafton City Hospital with family by her side. She was born in Simpson, WV, on December 18, 1936, daughter of the late Earl “Script” and Hope Digman Bartlett. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Richard A. Jones on September 3, 2006.

Peggy was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1956. She worked many years and retired as a CNA at the Myers Clinic in Philippi. She was a caregiver and continued caring for others her whole life. Peggy enjoyed gardening and enjoyed relaxing while reading a good book. She was a one of a kind with a smile that was contagious, she never met a stranger. She enjoyed being with people and loved being with her family and friends. Peggy loved her family unconditionally and loved the time she spent with each of them. She will be greatly missed by all her knew her.

Peggy is survived by three daughters, Debbie Wilson (Jim) Fairmont, Paula Oliverio (Joe) St. Marys, Ricki Owens (John) Philippi, four grandchildren the love of her life, Ashley Barber (Curtis), Heather Suarez (Mike), Alyssa Oliverio, Evan Dadisman (Salena), three greatgrandchildren. JJ Suarez, and Lian Dadisman, Jade Barber, three sisters, Patty Turner, Grafton, Sue Morris (Ike) Glenville, and Nancy Bartlett, Grafton, two brothers, Edward “Dick” Bartlett (Mary Ann) Painesville, OH, John Bartlett (Carolyn), West Union. and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Peggy was preceded in death by one sister, Jessie Shreves her father and mother in-law, Sidney and Edith Myers Jones.

The family would like to Thank the Taylor Healthcare Center for the extraordinary care they gave Peggy during her time with them.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home 202 McGraw Ave. on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 10:00AM until the funeral hour at 12:00PM Noon with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating.
