Obituary
Peggy Jean Hayes, 85 of Grafton passed away at her home Saturday, April 22, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Morgantown on August 24, 1937, daughter of the late John B. Hunt and Fred and Mary C. Rohrbaugh Williams, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lewis Hayes, Sr.
Peggy worked many years in a little store in Webster where she made lots of friends. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking big meals for the family gatherings. Peggy also liked gardening and taking care of her flowers. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her friends and family. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Aux. 3081.
Peggy is survived by her loving children, Robert L. Hayes, Jr. (Michelle), Cathy Hayes Stolzenfels, Peggy Sue Ferris (Sean), Vickie Hayes, Lisa Rosier (Dave), Steven Hayes , Kim Duckworth (Mike), Vanessa Daniels (Eric); like a son, Ethan Hayes and Adam Hayes; one brother, Ronnie Hunt (Pearl), many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy is preceded in death by three children, Angela Smith, Teri Kimble, and Danny Hayes; two sisters, Judy Ford and Dickie Bartlett.
