Paul Gary McKinney Sr.

Paul Gary McKinney, 78 of Grafton, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Rosewood Nursing Center, Grafton. He was born in Clarksburg, on March 7, 1946, son of the late Goff and Nellie Tierney McKinney, SR. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon “Kay” McKinney, December 18, 2020.

Paul graduated from Flemington High School, Class of 1965 and was a proud coalminer of over forty-seven years. He was a real outdoorsman who liked going hunting and fishing. Paul enjoyed having cookouts for his family and friends making them a special occasion for all those that attended. Cutting grass was his very favorite thing to do and some would say collecting lawn mowers was the hobby he enjoyed most. He loved his family unconditionally spending as much time with each of them as he could. Paul thought of his family as his greatest blessing.

Paul is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Ann Knotts (Kevin); three sons, Paul Gary McKinney, JR (Lorie), Brian Carroll McKinney (Janine), and Michael Todd McKinney (Bridgett),all of Grafton;  eight grandchildren, Britney Gregory (Mitchel), Rachel McKinney, Haleigh Coon(Dalton),Seth McKinney, Ryan McKinney (Courtney), Josh Trickett, Kameron (Sarah) and Kacey Knotts (Maggie); eleven great grandchildren, Hadlee and Lailah Gregory, Lane Coon, Mykenna McKinney, Kohen McKinney, Millie McKinney, Beau McKinney, and Barrett McKinney, Kash Knotts, Jacob Knotts and Coleton Knotts; one special nephew, Robert McKinney Jr.; two sisters, Annabelle Hostler, and Madge Henning; one brother, Tom McKinney (Donice); several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Paul was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary DeCampley and Debbie Welch; two brothers, John McKinney and Bob McKinney.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 12:00PM to 3:00PM the hour of the funeral with Kevin Lake officiating. Interment will follow at Woodsdale Memorial Park, Grafton.
