Pastor Richard Joseph Bolyard 73, of Grafton passed away on Sunday February 7, 2021 at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. Joe was born on March 12, 1947 in Grafton, the son of late Freeman Bolyard and Leona Belle Arthur Bolyard. He was married to the love of his life and best friend Myrna Jean Lambert Bolyard, spending thirty- seven years together.
Joe attended Grafton High School and worked to receive a Masters in Ministry. He worked for PCA in Grafton, was an Evangelist of World Fellowship International and attended the Flemington Assembly of God. Joe loved to play the guitar, fishing and being outdoors. He treasured every minute he spent with family and considered each one of them a blessing.
In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by two sons, Brian Bolyard (Janet) , Columbus OH, Mark Bolyard, Grafton and daughter Cindy McDaniel (Rodney Richter) of Philippi, four sisters Lila Campbell, Sandra Bradford (Bud), Linda Bragg (Don), Geovoni “Bonnie” Jones all from Grafton, seven grand children Brandon Bolyard (Michelle), Nick Bolyard (Nikki), Michael Bolyard (Lora), Kevin Bolyard, Autumn Graham (Michael), Cierra Swiger and Kiley Swiger, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Keener.
