Okey Clarence Delaney lll, 69 of Grafton passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024 at his home with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Grafton, WV on August 3, 1955, son of the late Okey Clarence Delaney, JR, and Delores Lander Delaney Spence. Okey is survived by his loving wife Joice Boggs Delaney. They were married on July 12, 1975 spending forty- nine wonderful years together.
Okey was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1973. He worked as a trackman and retired from the CSX Railroad. Okey was a faithful member of the Grafton Baptist Church. He never knew a stranger, enjoyed telling stories and making others laugh. Okey enjoyed being in the outdoors whenever he could and going hunting. He was a proud owner of a large Franklin Mint Car collection that he worked on for many years. Okey loved his family unconditionally and loved the times he spent with each of them.
Okey is survived by one son, Okey Clarence Delaney IV (Susan); two grandchildren, Katelyn Benton-Hart (Greyson), Kristian Delaney; one sister Mae Spence; three brothers, Michael Delaney (Stephanie), Timothy Spence, Thomas Spence; five nieces and nephews, Michael Delaney, JR., Megan Sweeney, Chelsea Newell, Hillarie Moffitt, and Kaelie Sweeney.
In addition to his parents, Okey is preceded in death by one sister, Lesa Smith.
Family and friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, WV., on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 3:00-7:00PM and on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 9:00AM until the time of the service at 11:00AM with Pastor Don Harward officiating.
