Natalea Grace Mumaw

Natalea Grace Mumaw, 18 of St. Marys and Grafton passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 as a result of an automobile accident. She was born in Morgantown, November 14, 2004, daughter of Shane and Lynsey Dean Mumaw.

Natalea was a member of St. Marys High School, Class of 2023. She was the feature twirler of the SMHS Marching Blue Devils Band and had plans of attending Fairmont State College in the fall. She was a 2022 Miss Majorette of West Virginia and Elmore Cup Winner, 2020-2021 Miss Tygart Valley Outstanding Teen, founder of the Sticks Up Against Bullying, 2019 Junior Olympic Gold Soloist, and many other state titles and competed nationally and internationally. She was an avid PBR fan, hockey fan, riding side-by-side with her boyfriend, and back road driver with friends. Natalea loved floating at Audra State Park.  

In addition to her parents, Natalea is survived by two sisters, Samantha  Fenton (Cody), Maeghan Hurst; maternal grandmother, Kimberlea Dean; paternal  great grandmother, Bernice Mumaw; Coach and Best Friend, Whitney Godwin, soulmate and boyfriend, John Giboney; one aunt, Mindy Mumaw (John); her pride and joy, niece, Hadlea June Fenton; her best friends, Will Angus, Kendra Rogucki, Allie Little, and Ella Smith; Tacia Rodriguez, Savannah Mounts, Allisa Larry; her second mother, Denise Brookover, Natalea’s biggest little fan, Briar Brookover; her furry friend, Chippy; many aunts, uncle, cousins, and friends. Natalea was preceded in death by Poppy, Roger Dean; great grandfather, David G Mumaw.

Natalea lived life to bring light and happiness to others, her smile was contagious and her willingness to stick up for others and help anyone in need is how she would want to be remembered forever and for everyone to continue her legacy. Philippians 4:13; Loved Beyond Forever

Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave, Grafton, WV on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 2-8PM and on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 9AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon with Lay Minister Carl Bartlett officiating.
