Mathew Wayne Shiflett

Mathew Wayne Shiflett. 64 of Jane Lew, WV of passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Mon General Hospital. He was born in Baltimore, MD. on November 18, 1958, son of the late James Columbus and Margaret Anna Dehn Shiflett. Mathew was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Metheny Shiflett, February 2006.

Mathew was retired as a ship yard worker and a well driller. He liked being in the outdoors, gardening, and going for long drives. Mathew liked to restore old cars, play the guitar and work in the garden. He loved the time he spent time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren.

Mathew is survived by four children, Paul David Shiflett, Pamela Dawn Shiflett (Benji ), both of WV Mathew Mark Shiflett,(Kerri),  John David Shiflett, (Natalie) both of MD., nine grandchildren, Katie, Kelly, Ellie, Olivia, Isaac, Tom, Sam, Caroline and Andrew, two great grandchildren, Ella, Eli, one sister, Wanda Lee Shiflett, two brothers, Paul Shiflett, and Willie Shiflett.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mathew was preceded in death by one brother, Bo Shiflett, one sister, Linda Shiflett.
