Mary Louise (Hoover) Myers, age 66, of Parkview community, Grafton, passed away Monday, June 05, 2023, at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Buckhannon, WV, June 30, 1956, a daughter of the late Howard C. and Wilma L. (Sandy) Hoover. Her husband, John Randall “Randy” Myers, survives. They were united in marriage July 11, 1974.
Mary was a fun-loving person. She worked many years helping those in need throughout the community, and all who met her, loved her, but most of all she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished her grandchildren, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a 1974 graduate of Grafton High School, she was retired having worked as a Family Support Specialist for the WV DHHR, she had also been employed as a housing manager at Grafton Manor and Briarcliff Apartments. She was member to the Blueville Church of the Nazarene, and attended the Parkview Church of the Nazarene. She participated in the Women’s Nazarene Ministry Group, was a former member of the Grafton BPW, a member of PATCH, and a member of TOPS. She attended the Taylor County Senior Center functions where she greatly enjoyed playing Bingo. She also enjoyed shopping, traveling and cruises, the beach, ceramics, and scrapbooking. Mary was an advocate and big supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness supporting all events and showing her support.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: one daughter, Jacqueline Noel Curtis and husband Kristofer, of Bridgeville, PA; two grandsons, Carter Valentine, and Kristofer Curtis II, both of Bridgeville, PA; one granddaughter, Kayonna Valentine, Morgantown, three sisters, Elizabeth “Susie” Austin and husband Bill, of Morgantown, Joyce Hileman and husband Marvin, of Arthurdale, WV, and Alice Wilmouth, of Morgantown; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Wilmouth, Rodney Austin, Julia Walter, Marvin Hileman, Melvin Street, Amanda Smith, and Patrick Street; sister-in-law, Carolyn Funk, niece Tabatha Osborne (Tim), nephew, Donald “Bub” Funk, and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: one sister, Charlotte Street, two brothers-in-law, Donald Funk, and Lonnie Myers, two sisters-in-laws, Kathy Myers,and Julie Caruso.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave, Grafton, on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 2-7 pm, and on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 9AM until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM, with Pastor Michael Delligatti and Pastor Michael Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Israel Cemetery, Fellowsville, WV.
