Mary Lou Jennings, 91 of Thornton, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the Kingwood Health Care Center, Kingwood with family by her side. She was born in Grafton on September 29, 1931, daughter of the late O. Clay and Irene Kitzmiller Bolyard. Mary Lou is survived by her husband of seventy-one years, Willard Junior Jennings whom she married on Oct 7, 1951.
Mary Lou graduated from Grafton High School, Class of 1949. She worked many years as an operator for C&P Telephone Company. Mary Lou attended and was a faithful member of the Maple Run Church where she was a secretary for several years. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Mary Lou loved to spend time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Mary Lou is survived by two sons, Willard Clay Jennings (Brenda) Frametown, WV, Steve Jennings (Nancy) Thornton; three grandchildren, Stormie Deal and Mark, Nick Jennings and Crystal, and Stevie Jennings; six great grandchildren, Logan, Tiffany, Sabrina, Nikki, Caitlyn and Brandon, and Alexis; two great great grandchildren, Layton Clay and Hadley Rayne; one brother, Kenny Bolyard (Sharon); one sister, Alice Poling; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Mary Lou is preceded in death by one brother, Lewis Bolyard and one sister in infancy, Barbara Ellen Bolyard.
