Martha Lee Murphy, 81, of Grafton passed away, Thursday, November 12, 2020 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born August 3, 1939 in Grafton, daughter of the late Ralph H. and Mary Susan DeMoss Shafferman, Martha is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Pastor Randall Lynn Murphy, Grafton,
Martha graduated with the class of 1957 from Grafton High School. She worked as a pastors’ wife, was a secretary, employed at WV Plastics, and managed A Christian Book, Health and Food Center. She enjoyed being outdoors if not mowing grass, she would be splitting wood. Martha was well known for her homemade doughnuts from her special recipe. Martha loved spending time with family and friends making memories that will be treasured forever.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Dean Murphy and wife Annabel,Wheeling, Randall Bruce Murphy and wife Kim, Olathe, KS, five grandchildren, Stephanie Murphy, DDS, Stephen Murphy DPH and wife Andrea, Gary Neal, Paige Nicole Wixson and husband Jeff, Nicholas Andrew Murphy, and seven great grandchildren, one sister Lorna Jane Perry, Grafton, one brother, John Darryl Shafferman and wife Kim, Grafton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frederick Zane Shafferman, and Gerald Ralph Shafferman.
Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 from 12 Noon to 7:00PM. with proper distancing and face mask required. Viewing will be on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 9:00AM until the funeral hour at 11:00AM. With Pastor Abner Rodriguez and Pastor Ignacio Chaviano officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt.
