Mark Thomas Mason

Mark Thomas Mason, 67 of Grafton passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. He was born October 14, 1958 in Warsaw, NY, son of the late Manley and Margaret Brown Mason. Mark is survived by his wife Darlene Gutowski Mason whom he married on October 8, 1988, spending thirty-eight years together.

Mark dedicated his life to hard work, service, and the beauty of the outdoors. After graduating from high school and earning his college degree, he began a long and fulfilling career with the USDA, highlighting Soil Conservation Service in Ottertail, Minnesota and timbering in Lowman, Idaho. He truly loved being outside, taking in the changing landscapes, appreciating nature’s beauty, and enjoying the peaceful views around him.

Mark was a man who loved working with his hands and took pride in doing things well. Whether through his work or in everyday life, he found joy in staying busy and helping others. More than anything, Mark cherished life and the people who were part of it. His kindness, dedication, and love for others will be remembered by all who knew him.

Mark is survived by one son, Ian Mason of Cambridge Md; one brother, Allen Mason (Patricia); nieces and nephew, Andrea, Jon and Cora.

To honor Marks wishes he will be cremated and no services will be held.
