Marjorie Elenor (Boylen) Newlon

Marjorie Elenor Newlon, 97 of Buckhannon formerly of Grafton passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Grafton on May 18, 1925, daughter of the late Clifford Daniel and Chloe Florence Shahan Boylen. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Thomas M. Newlon, Sr. April 3, 1984.

Marjorie was devoted to the Lord and her family. She traveled the road of life as a Christian until she went to be with the Lord. Marjorie worked many years at the Shirt Factory. She enjoyed sitting and reading the Bible or just relaxing while reading a good book. Marjorie liked making crafts and sewing. She loved going to church and the time she spent with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all her knew her.

Marjorie is survived by two daughters, Judy Kester (David) Grafton, and Barbara Hull (Bill), Buckhannon, six grandchildren, Michael, Eric, Melissa, Matthew, Billy, Joshua, ten great grandchildren, two brothers, Francis Boylen and James Boylen.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marjorie is preceded in death by, one daughter, Patricia “Carol” Gower, one son Tom M. Newlon, Jr. two sisters, Dorothy Gainer, Helen Toney, six brothers, Merle Boylen, Clyde Boylen, Russell Boylen, Lester Boylen, Ralph Boylen, Delbert Shahan, and son-in-law, KD. Roak.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM and on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 9:00AM until 11:00AM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Michael Flanary and Pastor A H Belt officiating.
