Lloyd “Eddie” Shaw, 81 of Fairmont entered the Gates of Heaven on Monday April 29, 2024 at the Veteran Nursing Home in Clarksburg. He was born in Fairmont, July 14, 1942, son of the late Harry Luther and Nina Frances Hawkins Shaw. Eddie is survived by his wife Karen Weaver Shaw, they were married May 22, 2014 spending more than nine years together.
Eddie attended East Fairmont High School, and was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Alcan with over forty years working as a roller operator. Eddie was a member of the Fairmont Moose and Fairmont VFW. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, working on the farm. Eddie liked fishing in his pond and treasured the special times fishing with his grandchildren. He loved the time spent with his friends, family and especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Eddie is survived by his daughter Melissa Trimble, Fairmont, step-son Michael J. White (Kim), Virginia; foster daughter, Ella Nay, Grafton; two granddaughters, Tessa Moore (Brady), Kylee Jamison (Ryan); great-grandson, Maverick James Moore, all of Utah; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will celebrate Eddie’s life and receive friends at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 3:00PM until 7:00PM and on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 8:00AM until 10:00AM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Scott Cutlip officiating.
