Linda Karen Croll

Linda Karen Brown Croll, 79, of Grafton, passed peacefully, with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Grafton City Hospital. She was born on November 22, 1942, in Grafton, a daughter of the late Lawrence “Brownie” and Kathleen M. “Katie” Miller Brown. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Kenneth Allen Croll.

Linda loved children making it a joy for her to do the jobs she chose. She drove school bus for the Vermilion, Ohio school system for seven years, and for the Taylor County Head Start for six years. For many years Linda worked as a library assistant for the Goldsmith Elementary School in Louisville, KY. She was a longtime member of the Blueville United Methodist Church and was the Bowler of the Year in 1980’s. Linda enjoyed cooking, watching the cooking channel, shopping on QVC and reading to children. She loved her family and made lots of memories with each of them. Linda will be dearly missed by them and all who knew her.

Linda is survived by two loving children, one daughter, Debra Jones and fiancee’ Art, of Fairmont; one son, Lawrence “Larry” Croll and wife Trina, Washington State; five grandchildren, Chris, Brandin (Jenna), Kyle (Amanda), Cory (Brittannie) and Bryan; nine great grandchildren, Nicole, Dylan, Taylor, Aydan, Karson, Adele, Declan, Michael and Emmalynne;  nieces, nephews and cousins, all though she had no siblings, she always thought of Barbara Jean “BJ” Willis Weaver as her sister, Philip O. Brown as her brother.

The family wants to thank the many family and friends for their love, support and prayers. Much appreciation to longtime friends and family; Shirley Newlon, A R Lake and family, Barbara Canfield, Faris Brewster-Bailey for her talks and prayers by phone, Monica Rogers, Mira and Eric Hess and family for all you did for her.

Family and friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 3PM -7PM and on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 9AM to 11AM, the hour of the funeral with Pastor Sue Lowther officiating.
