Leslie Lowe Obituary

Leslie “Wayne” Lowe 65 of Grafton, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026 in Morgantown at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born February 2, 1961 in Weirton, WV., son of the late Leslie G. and Mary Jane Wagner Lowe. Wayne is survived by the love of his life wife, Terree Doreen Moran Lowe.

Wayne was a proud graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1979. He devoted more than four decades of his life to First Energy, beginning his career in 1981 and retiring in 2023 as a training supervisor. His work was more than a job—it was a reflection of his dedication, integrity, and quiet strength, leaving behind a legacy that will not be forgotten.

Wayne found peace and joy in the simple moments, especially along a quiet stream with a fishing rod in hand—whether in solitude or sharing laughter with friends, always hoping for that one unforgettable catch. He was also a devoted supporter of local youth and high school sports, faithfully cheering on every team with pride and enthusiasm.

Wayne had a rare and beautiful gift—he could walk into a room full of strangers and leave it filled with friends. His warmth, easy smile, and genuine kindness made people feel seen, welcomed, and valued. To know Wayne, even briefly, was to feel like you had known him forever.

Above all, Wayne loved deeply. His family and friends were the center of his world, and he treasured every moment spent with them. The memories he created—the laughter, the stories, the love—will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, a lasting reminder of a life so well and fully lived.

Wayne is survived by two daughters, Courtney Foley (Patrick), Angela Mewshaw (Matt), two sons, Gregory Thorn, Justin Thorn, three sisters, Debra Plymale (Richard), Barbara Lowe, Sylvia Carpenter (Delbert), grandchildren, Garrett, Brayton, Canaan, Emerson, Madix, Broox and Landri,; two special friends, Jane Rinker and Robin Lemmons; and  two very best friends, John Bush and Roger Greaser; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Wayne was preceded in death by one daughter, Brittany Davis and one brother, Robert Lowe.
