Leonard Ray Welch, 83 of Flemington passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born June 30. 1939 in Flemington, son of the late Quimby Thomas and Maude Mae Stout Welch, Leonard is survived by his wife Debra Simpson Welch whom he married January 10, 2006 spending more than sixteen years together.
Leonard was a Flemington High School graduate and retired from the Clarksburg Casket Company. He worked with his hands as a wood crafter. Leonard was a man that liked to work and be with people. He loved his family and treasured the time he spent with each of them making special memories. Leonard will be greatly missed by each of them and all who knew him.
Leonard is survived by four children, Laura Welch, Clarksburg, Douglas Welch (Lisa), Wheeling, Debra Hamrick (Tim), Staunton, VA, and Jack Charlton ll, four grandchildren, Brian, Sarah, Brittney, Samantha, two sisters, Wilma Warren Grafton, Georgina Mayfield, Gypsy, several nieces and nephews .
In addition to his parents Leonard was preceded in death by seven brothers, Thomas J. Welch, Merle G. Welch and Edward C. Welch, Warren "Bud" Welch, Raymond Welch, Charles A. Welch, and Maynard Lee Welch, one sister Edith Marie Lipscomb.
