Larry Bruce Rosier Jr.

Larry Bruce Rosier, Jr. 62, of Fairmont passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Mon General Hospital with family by his side. He was born in Grafton, on May 11, 1960, son of Larry Bruce Rosier, Sr. and Patty Martin Rosier. Larry is survived by his wife, Christine Frollo Rosier, whom he married February 15, 2003, spending twenty years together.

Larry was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1978. He wore many hats during his career; Larry retired from Rex-Hide, was a correctional officer at the Salem Correctional Center, and was a self-employed contractor for many years. Larry was a real outdoorsman; he enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and telling stories. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the WV Mountaineers, and Steelers. Larry loved the West Virginia mountains and traveling to Montana. He loved being with his family and friends at every chance he had. He will be greatly missed by each of them and all who knew him.

In addition to his parents and wife, Larry is survived by one son, Joshua Rosier and wife Emily, one step son, Matthew Smajda; six grandchildren, Noah Rosier, Willow Rosier, Stephanie Smajda, Kalliope Smajda, Stevie Smajda, and Judah Smajda; one sister, Beverly Merriman and husband Bill; four nieces, Shannon Stevens and fiancé Nathan Bolyard, Alicia Weaver and husband Seth, Kristin Blake and husband Drew, Alex Sullivan and husband Denzel; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Brittany Stewart, and his beloved dog, Maggie.

Family will receive friends at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Avenue, Grafton, WV on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 4-8PM and on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 12 Noon until 2PM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Wayde Wilson officiating.
