Kermit H. Dillon

Kermit H Dillon, Age 97 of Knottsville Community Grafton, WV passed away on Saturday Feb. 4, 2023. He was born on February 1,1926 in Barbour County WV. He was the son to the late Edwin Neal Dillon and Straudie Elsie Knotts. He was married to his last beloved wife, Sara Lee M Dillon for 56 years. Sara passed away December 17 2008. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by: 2 sisters; Lillian Shackelford and Dorthy Mae McDanial and 2 brothers Hayward H Dillon and Andrew Dillon (died at birth) step daughter Raelene Larew Baker

He is survived by three Children: Gary Michael Dillon and wife Sharon Dillon of Rockingham, NC, Terry Lee Dillon and wife Dottie Dillon of Mt.Clare, WV, Jeffery Lynn Dillon and wife Sandra Pratt Dillon of Grafton, WV; 3 Grandchildren: Kelly Larew Mayhew and husband Rick Villers, Brittany Dillon Everett and husband Matt Everett, Cody Dillon and wife Whitney Poling Dillon; 6 Great Grandchildren, Logan Mayhew, Garret Mayhew, Bailey Murphy, Laken Dillon, Owen Everett, Paisley Dillon, Kermit H Dillon. He was the last surviving member of his family.

Member of the St John's Church and a trustee for years. He worked for Department of Highways for 6 years as a heavy equipment operator then he worked 31 years for Harman Construction. He was an Avid hunter, love to work in the garden and his wood shop. Kermit always had many stories to tell about his journey through life, so many good stories that a good friend Pamela Clarkson Lusher wrote a book called Kermit Dillon The Legend A man with stories to tell, songs to sing, and smiles to share... Our Dad, Our Pap. Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave, Grafton, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 3 -7 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am, on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the funeral home. David Arnold officiating. Interment at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
