Kenneth "Kenny" Howard Cole

Kenneth “Kenny” Howard Cole, Jr., 70 of Grafton, WV., passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown with his loving family by his side.  He was born in Sutton, WV, on January 8, 1954, son of Martha Grinnan Cole Shanabarger of Grafton and the late Kenneth Howard Cole, Sr. Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Heldreth Cole, they were married June 16, 1973 spending fifty-one wonderful years together.

Kenny was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1971. He was a faithful member of St Augustine Catholic Church where he served as an altar boy as a child. Kenny was known for his hard work that started at the young age of fifteen at Malone’s Drug Store. Kenny was the proud owner of Jerry’s Restaurant and was a CEO of several businesses where he received numerous awards and recognition for his accomplishments including; Wolfgang Puck, Sizzler, Damon’s, Quaker Steak &Lube, Left at Albuquerque, Blue Chalk Café, and Boston Beanery. He also worked for Bridgeport Country Club, Casa Lupita, and Bonanza International. Kenny enjoyed life to the fullest and liked being with people talking, telling stories and just having a good time with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, camping, being at the farm and at the beach. Kenny loved his family more than anything else in his world and considered each of them as his greatest joy and blessings.

In addition to his wife and mother, Kenny is survived by his loving daughter, Christie Collins and husband Todd; six beautiful grandchildren, Cole Collins (Darby), Mariah Collins, Micah Stottlemeyer (Mike), Chloe Collins, Jonah Collins and Sophia Collins; one great granddaughter Rosie; nephew, Chad Drainer (Sabrina); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father, Kenny is preceded in death by two sisters, Marilyn Elizabeth Cole, Roseann Cole Kenny; and one brother, Michael “Mickey” Cole.

Family and friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, West Virginia, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 3:00-7:00PM, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 12:00 Noon -7:00PM. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00PM. The Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 11:00AM at the Saint Augustine Catholic Church, Washington Street, Grafton, with Father Joseph Babu as celebrant.
